DONATE & PLAY
We want to thank all of our classmates who contributed to our Sat. night drawing. Our reunion committee is very grateful for your time, efforts and personal expense for the creation of such items. We also believe all of us had a great time trying to win the prizes you created. OOPS! - We forgot to vote where the money would go from that, but all who came, or were registered, were contacted and asked to cast their votes. The results were 69 for a scholarship, and 10 for the Sports Complex. The proceeds from tickets for the drawing will be donated to scholarships for Menomonie High School students.
The following 19 classmates donated their creations or gifts for our drawing: Lucy Sanna is the author of the novel "CherryHarvest", and donated two of her novels. Brian O'Meara donated his creation of a Kitchen Work Station made from Italian marble. JoAnn Peterson-Wales created blingy embellishments for a Green Bay Packer Back Pack, and also donated two of her one-of-a-kind darling creations that were blinged up - a purse and a tote. Lynne Mattison-Koser stired up our appetites with her donation of genuine yummy maple syrup that she collected and made. Cory Olson donated a beautiful diamond willow walking stick, and two prints made from her sister Debbie's paintings - "Summoned Peace", and "Sunset". Jerry Stanton created and donated a very unique wood sculpture called "Cobra". Jim Ajer created and donated a fishing pole, which has our Indian mascot, name of winner of it, and writing on it - all in calligraphy by Vicki Wendt-Casper. VickiWendt-Casper is a professional calligraphist, and she turned the poem "I Shall Wear Purple" into a beautiful printed art form with her calligraphy, which she donated. She also created and donated two other beauties - one was her original water color print called "Autumnal Fire", and the other was some art cards. Ann Hinzman-Rhead created and donated a beautiful, elegant Garden Totem. Kathy-Styer-Berger-Hoffman is the author of "On The Banks Of Irvin Crick", and donated one of her books. Rhonda Miller-Kuester created and donated a very delicate and decorative Twisted Wire Tree. Delbert Yoder donated a small flat-screen TV, and a Starbucks gift certificate, which was used for a prize. Joy Miller-Grossman donated her creation of a Wooden Advent Tree and hand-made miniature ornaments. One of her Advent Trees was displayed in the Boston Museum Of Fine Arts. Dick Olson donated a Sesquicentennial Afghan which has several historical Menomonie buildings woven in it. Bill Bartko donated some "Tiles" that can help the winner find misplaced keys, or other things. Marcia Johnson-Snyder donated her creation of a Cincinnati basket of goodies. Ann Grim-Rassbach created and donated a "New Orleans Lagniappe". John Froelich created and donated two original water color paintings - "Winter Solitude", and "High Summer". Sharon Cook-Wyss didn't have something for the drawing, but donated her time and talent, plus the ingredients to create delicious cakes and desserts for all of us to enjoy. They were not only delicious - her display of them was absolutely beautiful!

We truly thank Jim Stai for allowing us to use the Veteran's Center free of charge.
